We offer Full shares, Bi-weekly shares, and Shared shares.

A share at Kimberton CSA consists of many different vegetables, herbs, and some berries. The harvest of these items starts in mid-May and runs six months until the week before Thanksgiving, about 26 weeks in all. The harvest year is somewhat dependent on the weather and can vary from year to year. We anticipate the first harvest for 2012 to be Tuesday May 15th and Friday May 18th, continuing until Tuesday November 13th and Friday November 16th. Full shares come to the farm once a week to pick up produce, bi-weekly shares come every other week.

Counted Items

Items such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, or eggplants are distributed by weight or quantity. These amounts are usually determined on the day of harvest and depend on the amount available in the fields.

Free-Choice Items

Some items, such as greens and herbs, will be offered as free choice, meaning you can take some if you need it. This allows a certain amount of share customization.

U-Pick Items

Some items are offered as pick-your-own items. These include berries, peas, beans, flowers, okra, hot peppers, cherry tomatoes and paste tomatoes.
